Post Officer Elections

Post Elections. The meeting of 8 Apr will again provide the opportunity to elect Post officers for the 2010-2011 year. Terms of office start 1 July and end 30 June and training is provided for the offices. The duties are as specified in the VFW Congressional Charter By-Laws and Manual of Procedure.

Elective offices of a Post are: Commander, Sr. Vice Commander, Jr. Vice Commander, Quartermaster, Chaplain, Judge Advocate, Surgeon, and three Trustees. All other officer positions (Adjutant, Officer of the Day, Service Officer, and Guard) are appointed. If interested in any position, inform the Judge Advocate to discuss the duties of the office, qualifications, time involved, etc..
